we’re fighting for Good Jobs.
Ford has received billions of taxpayer dollars to build Blue Oval City.
We are excited about the growth but we know that with massive growth will come a need for new infrastructure that will have sweeping impacts on our communities.
We are already seeing the impacts in rising housing costs, predatory land grabs, the potential environmental impact from a rapidly growing electric vehicle industry and more.
We want to make sure that the communities here today are not displaced in the massive growth and see a return on the state’s investment in Blue Oval.
We think it’s only right that the local residents whose lives will be forever impacted are able to get a piece of the pie, not just Ford.
That’s why we need a community benefits agreement.
Just like when Nashville built a new stadium, we want a legally-binding Community Benefits Agreement that will provide affordable housing units, environmental protections, safeguards on our agricultural community, development in education and local workforce development.
A Community Benefits Agreement is a legal agreement between local residents and a corporation, such as Ford, that allows the company to provide community investment to offset the impacts of development in our area.
